So I went and bought one, quite happy so far! Only question I have is is there no audio or equalizer presets like rock/jazz/country etc? And where is everyone putting there credit cards? That little cubby above the sunroof opener may work I guess but missing my card holder visor from my 03.

Gratz on the truck. There is what i think is a card holder on the visor. its connected to where the visor clips in. I keep my NP card in it. I can get a pic in a bit if you need a visual.

I had a 1991 XtraCab, a 2003 XtraCab briefly (about a year) and now this 2008 Access Cab.

    1. No meaningful input on 4 door. The 2nd gen Access Cab has for me more useful space behind the seats but feels tighter in front. All the trucks I've owned came from guys with growing families, but I know an extended cab is not a fair comparison.
    2. Fuel economy will be similar. I get a little worse now, avg 17ish in mixed driving. Used to get 19 and 20 in the old truck but 22R-E, 5-speed so it's not really fair.
    3. It's larger, 19 gallons in my truck.
    4. No idea on Entune. I still use CDs and paper maps so I wouldn't be much help even if I had it. I'd probably use cassettes if my radio would take them.
    5. I still feel the size even after almost 2 years of driving it. Sightlines suck in comparison. I got accustomed to the old truck, which was easy to squeeze down trails and in parking lots. This 2008 feels to me like a 1980s or 1990s full size. The mirrors on my 2008 are awesome, though.
    6. I do all my own maintenance. I don't feel it's any tougher than the 2003 but certainly more complex than the 1991. We'll see in a few years when I start doing major repairs. The dash is more of a PITA to take apart then either of my previous trucks.

Nice truck. I'm still trying to figure out how you asked a direct question on Taco World, and the thread is full of honest, straight forward answers. No bickering, or people changing the topic. I keep thinking I'm on a different forum, but the Tacoma graphic is still on the top of the screen. Congratulations!
