Er, 8.8" ground clearance for Trailhawk vs 7.9" for the base trim:
    http://www.jeep.com/model-compare/detailed-chart/?modelYearCode=CUJ201408&variation=1

If it weren't for the Trailhawk's low-range and rear locker, the Forester would be a better off road crossover.

Chrysler rust protection isn't better than Toyota's, and rusted unibody is more difficult to repair. Our previous Caravan had pieces falling off the floorpan from rust after ten years.

That happened near me, it was a clusterfuck to deal with.
The explosion was massive, search youtube for baltimore train explosion, a few people got it on tape.
The road is a private road used by a trash truck company, has been for years.
There were no signs or warning lights, train was blowing the horn while going through the area, truck driver said he didnt hear it.
It took several hours to get a load manifest from the train company, rumors started that it was carrying hazardous chemicals, it wasnt.
Props to the local home depot, they sent a truck load of bottled water to the staging area for the fire, ems and police.

Those cars are designed to rip in half in severe accidents. Most mid engine cars do to protect the occupants... Obviously it didn't work too well.

I went in that evening, thinking I would see how bad it was. Left 10 mins later shaking my head, but got this golden pic.

^Repost from 4 pages ago. :p I wonder if such a long shifter hurts the transmission.

Er... You are confusing a Grand Cherokee feature with the Cherokee. Cherokee Trailhawk doesn't have Quadra-Lift; it has conventional coil springs and shocks.

The Grand Cherokee is advertised as having 10.8" of ground clearance with Quadra-Lift set at the high setting.

I don't think a fire hose would've saved either Paul Walker or his friend in the Porsche...
