I'm about to stop by the local dealer to test drive a CPO 2013 TRD DCSB with 36k, going for $30,750. According to KBB that is a fair deal, amazing how well these trucks hold their value. The CarFax clears with no issues and regular maintenance performed, returned as a 3 year personal lease, 12k miles per year.

What are some things I should look out for during the test drive on a 2013 model year? Tire tread, clean engine bay, under-body rust, topped fluids, what else? Any issues unique to the 2013 I should be aware of or pay close attention to during my test drive and inspection?

    Appreciate the help.

good luck, try to get them to throw in an extra warranty, Toyota power train is 5 years and 60 thousand miles.....Make sure everything works, ac heat 4wheel drive ,etc....look under the truck for any leaks. The dealers usually warranty the trucks for some amount of time . Check with the service department to see that any recalls were addressed..

Should be pretty straightforward, the only thing I can think of at the moment is the possibility of a bad bearing in the front diff (vibration at roughly 30mph that goes away when 4wd is engaged). My 2014 developed this problem at around 15k and the bearing was replaced under warranty. Aside form that, just the standard stuff mentioned above.
