A tow mode button to increase rpm shift points would be nice too.

To echo others, an outside temp reading not built into radio, Manual 4x4 shifter, factory payload options, turbo diesel.

Haha that definitely is! Saw it at Home Depot the other day. Opposite way would have been just fine. But this more easier doable in a 2nd gen than having someone cut and install a custom sunroof in. If I couldn't have a sunroof, this would totally suffice for me in the summertime.

Wish it had more cupholders. 35 isn't quite enough at times.

    what are those?
2 cup holders by the shifter rather than just one on the automatic... the ones infront of the shifter are kind of useless because of all the charging cods and stuff get in the way of my gf's coffee and the main one doesn't hold a gatorade so i wedge it between my seatbelt on the seat...works well but not ideal.

The auto console cupholder is so worthless. Like, it can barely hold a can of coke, at least make it so it can hold a 20oz bottle from the gas station.

He'll be going to the dealer to replace that rear window when the ply snaps it..........OMG.. The doofus should just lower the tailgate, load the ply flat, strap it to prevent slide out..........

    Main wants:
A frame that can stay intact for the life of the vehicle
kill off that secondary emissions air pump BS
Cruise control that didn't freak the F out on any little hill
auto console cupholder that could reasonably hold a 20oz coke bottle
12+ temp gauge in the mirror or somewhere, not the HD Radio garbage it has
heated mirrors so I can see in the winter
sealed bed cubbies, not ones with 50 drain holes in each one

    Nice to haves:
    about 50 extra ponies
    hood struts vs a prop
rear disks. I dont mind drums at all and 100K replacement intervals is sweet, but quick and easy maintenance vs a slightly shorter life would be a plus to me.
Wish the OR came in DCLB like they finally figured out on the 3rd gens

    Would avoid at all costs:
Toyota diesel. It would be unkillable, but a total dog. Plus US emissions would kill any reasonable performance it did have.

From the factory I would have loved heated seats and a portion of the third brake light that's white that could light up the bed.

Oh, and a tail gate I could actually kneel on without destroying my knees, that corrugated shit hurts.

I kind of took care of the little wants that weren't factory. Didn't think just having hi/lo wipers would be an issue but was wrong so swapped out the wiper switch for an intermittent one, easy plug& play fix. Was also wrong thinking standard radio/cd was good enough so found a good deal on a head unit with satellite, ran a antenna and much happier now. Again a easy plug/play fix. The only tricky part was hooking up the after market antenna which a special plug in the back, wrote about that here a while back. Wanted better suspension so threw on some Hellwig helper springs, awesome. Also didn't like the too low rearveiw mirror so raised that with some tips from the forum.

Wish it had windows that rolled down with the remote. Second wish the infotainment system had Netflix or YouTube since I eat in my car sometimes lol. Other than that it's a great truck.

The few things I would say is definitely a manual trans and remote start. For all the other creature comforts that didn’t come with I added myself
    Power sliding rear window
    Heated seats front and rear
    Apple CarPlay
    Upgraded lighting
    Sound deadening
    Tinted windows
    Leveled out the truck
    Rear bed light

Maybe it's just me but this never bothered me lol.

Changed out the front cupholders so that one can hold a Hydroflask sized bottle, the other standard size. hydroflask hole is for the GF's hydroflask/coffee tumbler, standard hole for my insulated water bottle, tiny cupholder by the shifter is reserved for to-go drink cups or water bottles, then the cupholders at the rear of the armrest are wildcars

I would love a sunroof, personally.
