I wish I could charge a cell phone without running the engine. I know there would be slight battery drain but that’s ok. Used to be able to do that on older vehicles with minimal issues.

Would like a light inside the glove box.

    * I realize this is 2nd gen thread and I now have 3rd gen

My old 94 volvo red block had heated mirrors and seats. Loved that thing, it had a turbo and was completely indestructible! ECU eventually failed which would have cost more to replace than the car was worth.

Shoot, My old "57" Chevrolet had a factory installed automatic headlight dimmer, but that doesn't mean a Taco should have one. Just cause things are available doesn't mean everything should have it.

    Sound deadening.
The ability to fit bigger tires. Stock.
    Adequate engine power.
Standard features for a regular cab. (cruise, intermittent wipers etc.)
    Stronger more durable frame.
    Manual hubs.

I'd like to see Toyota build a single cab Tacoma on the next supposed offroad oriented Land Cruiser platform. Toyota could still build and sell their 3rd or 4th gen. This would be a LC pick up, but sold under the Tacoma name, and only available as a 2dr with an open bed.

I've had my '15 base for 4 months now, there's a few things that I want that I can add easily enough, like intermittent wipers ( how could these not come stock??). The thing that I wish/need the most is the thing that will have me trading this in before the summer- the seats suck, period. My lower back has never hurt so much in any other vehicle. My 21YO 4runner has more comfortable seats. I've made rear spacers/risers and played with heights between .75" to 1.25", it only helps slightly but not enough to make it comfortable to drive any distance.
Other wishes- lever operated t-case w/ multi-mode, like my 4runner. Auto-up/down window switch for both sides, electric defrost side mirrors. Interior insulation to kill the road noise. Dual cup holders in the center console. Front suspension frame mounting points made from material thicker than a soup can.

I'll sound like a broken record, but:
    Heated Mirrors.
    Power rear slider.
    Sunroof.
Auto up/down front two windows minimum.
    And fix the frame rust.

If my truck had these, I wouldn't be considering trading up to a 3rd gen. Well played Toyota...

My wife has a Rav4, but has back issues. She bought a seat back support for an office chair and it helps tremendously, can't hurt to try

On third gens, you can tap into an always on fuse (hazards), without too much trouble.

That would be nice here. We have to keep cases on hand for our fire trucks. Honestly believe exempt vehicles should be exempt.
