I'm thinking about buying an 03 tacoma ext cab trd,5-speed, but I want to do some research first, this thing has a 6 inch fabtech lift, with my choice of 33" or 35" tires, 200,000 KM, seems like its been well taken care of, rust proofed, inside of frame coated, mechanic owned, regular OLF's, timing belt done, although the guy doesn't have any records of repair history.
Does a 6 inch lift and bigger tires affect the milage a lot from factory?
I'm going up to look at it maybe this weekend, what should I look for?
What problems can I expect or anticipate with the fabtech lifts?
What is the achiles heels of the 3.4 v6 5-speed drivetrain?
Are front wheel bearing failures an issue with Tacomas?
Are CV joints/ boot failures/ axle popping an issue with the fabtech lifts?
The guy is asking $14,000 as is, right now it needs a windshield and front wheel bearing.
    Heres the link:

Thanks for any input you can give me, this is a damn cute truck, I'm looking forward to getting the tacoma experience!

For that price, I'd hold out for a garage kept unmolested taco... That much lift would make me feel VERY uneasy....good luck!

    Please don't say cute.

Other than that, that sounds like a pretty good deal. As long as your sure nothing else is wrong with it. It looks like a really nice truck.
