How about reading my post. While that article touches on a correct point, that point was already brought up in my original question. It agrees with me on both parts of my post.

Edit: That could be taken as confrontational, not meant to be. Was just using the same wording for the reply. :)

Just adding to the discussion. I don't think many other people are aware of it and it's important they know.

OP I'm in a very similar situation. My 2019 TRD OR was hit in almost the exact same spot as yours with what looks like about the same amount of damage. I only had around 600 miles on it, and had just made the first payment about 3 hours before the accident. It's currently at the collision center waiting on a determination from the insurance. Only difference is, the lady who hit me wasn't drunk, but was still at fault. Was your truck purchased or leased? Is your insurance handling it or the other drivers?

2019 Tacoma will still carry a high KBB value. Depending on the insurance company, they may want to fix the Tacoma for you. I would make sure you have everything replaced with OEM Toyota parts and at a repair facility of your choice (Not theirs). Get quotes from the best shops in your area or demand to have it towed to a place of your choice. That way, the estimate will be very high or the repairs will be done right.

Are you injured in anyway? Perhaps consult with an injury lawyer as well. I was in an accident years ago and I thought I was fine afterwards. Well, my lower back became an issue and I lost my chance to have it properly treated. . .

Don't allow any injuries to go unaddressed as you have every right to be compensated prior to the accident.
