Curious to hear the out come. Please let us know. And good luck. If the adjustor doesn't tell you what you want to hear, ask to speak with a supervisor. The adjustors are trained to give you the bare minimum to keep you from taking them to court as their client was negligent. I had a go around with an insurance company about a claim and both the girlfriend(it was her car) and I got shut down by two different adjustors, saying they wouldn't cover the affected piece. Long story short, I asked to speak with one of their supervisors and they within a few minutes completely changed their tune and we were fully compensated. Hang in there.

That can be pulled. Coming from a frame tech. The truck is too new to total over that. They would put a new frame under it even before it totaled.

The trucks worth at least 22k if its a base model more if not. Even with a new frame and bumper the truck wouldn't even be at 60% totalled

Its only bent in the very rear behind the spring mount. This wouldnt seem like to much of a concern about driving correctly ever again. Now towing mite be a different story :notsure: but hope all the best for the Taco :D

Not much consolation, but in California count your blessings that she had insurance.

None yet, but I'm pulling the pieces together.
Well I'm still waiting on final word but both my insurance body shop and the person's who hit me said that on first look it would probably be totaled. The bend in the frame is too much and they would have to replace the entire frame. I should/hope to know a final answer by this afternoon.

Thanks for all the info everyone

This is not totaled. A frame tech can straighten this, hell on such a new truck a frame swap wouldn't total the truck. The bed is bowed up because it's plastic.

If they do total it out, buy it back. You'll have a brand new truck for a percentage of the price. Then chop the rear off and build a caged rear!

Well so far one company says it can be fixed with a new frame. The other is sending their own guy cuz they think it will be totaled and their process needs their own person to confirm.

If they don't total it I have been assured that all the parts going back in it, including a brand new frame, will all come directly from Toyota... my only concern there is the diminished value of the truck after its been through a frame swap.

Anyone have any idea how much value it loses when you do a total swap on a major component like the frame?
