I'm confused, so now you aren't getting the trd OR anymore? You decided on the 4Runner?

What didn't you like about the Tacoma? The different trims drive similarly, I drove a limited, or, sport and sr5...

    No Tacoma for me.

    In no particular order:

    1. Highway handling (I tried the different trims that I would have been interesting in owning). All had the same shakes/vibrations and squirrely steering.
    2. Engine/Transmission (you need to stomp it to go and requires a shifting pattern fix) ECT button improves this, but kills mpg.
I just could not get used to the "lugging" sensation. My '71 Westy feels peppier w/ better throttle-response.
    3. Headlights are weak at best in town...marginally ok away from town.
    4. Towing much of anything makes things worse.
    5. Hood issues = lower QA/QC than I would have expected.
    6. Seat fabric stretches and looks loose/wrinkled very quickly.
    7. OEM speakers on my '82 Chevette could handle more bass
    8. Ticking and tocking of Tach and Speedo "nothing wrong here...move one"
    9. Frequent single weird clunk from rear during light breaking at parking lot speeds...again "nothing wrong here...move on"
    10. Bluetooth was super finicky (constant disconnect/connect without manually selecting the device. I tested multiple phones)
    11. Mine had a whistle that didn't appear to come from the cab vent.

I've loved every other Toyota truck that I have every owned (8 and counting)...This one just didn't give me that same feeling.

that sux that you had so many issue but now you have what you want so that's the important part,
enjoy it, it's a nice looking truck you have there.

I'm at 1500+ miles right now and have seen NONE of those issues, no issues at all in fact for
me. I traded in my 2011 (same model) and this one was a HUGE improvement in every way.

Trolls are active for sure. My Tacoma is solid for sure and is a great improvement over the 15 which itself is outstanding.

well I traded in my 15 tundra crew on my 16 Tacoma sport 4x4 dbl cb. Came from an 09 Ridgeline that I traded with 155k to get Tundra because the Tacoma in 15 wasn't for me. road rough to me and didn't like interior. Love the 16 interior and love the new looks of exterior too. Plus seems bigger in back by a little but could just be me. I have none of these issues at all and only real issue I have is the seats comfort being hard to me and the adjustability of the seats. Well and that I really wanted the OR and didn't want to wait 4 months and I found a sport in color I wanted in Quick sand 40 miles from me. Love the truck and many complain about the auto trans but I really have no big grips and I love auto over Manual. Ive drove big trucks all my life an im done shifting. That's just me!! Glad the OP got want he wanted in the end!!

Texas Edition comes with different rims, some badges, floor mats...cosmetic changes.

I traded my 2mos old 2015 TRDORDCSBMGM for a 2015 4Runner Trail Prem. Truck ended up on the lot for more than I paid for it.

I still may get a Tacoma, need to wait for all the issues to be resolved!! Transmission would drive me nuts, the 5 speed in the 4runner is excellent!! Drives like a Dream!!!!

The Taco has a 5' bed and the Colorado has a 5'2" bed with higher sides, so it actually holds a lot more.
