This party is going to end. When it does, the mark-ups will go away. And then some.

    I don't own a Subaru

We all guessed that the Tundra would ditch the V8 for the V6 Turbo in the LS500.

Same could be said for the RX. There won't be anything revolutionary from Toyota when the 4th gen Tacoma comes out. They will pull off-the-self parts to make the Tacoma. The power train already exists and you know that.

They dog'd' out their best selling flagship Luxury CUV with a lower output Powetrain. I really don't have high expectations with their best selling flagship truck either.

Weird appearance, reliability issues, no V8, cheap interior, ans flimsy build quality.

You're not wrong on all points.

I still don't know what the issue with TNGA is, though, and I haven't heard anything about build quality issues as of yet.

It actually makes sense that Taco will come before the Runner. The Taco is the base of the Runner, just like the Tundy is the base of the Sequoia.

My guess is that we will see the Prado and Hilux first. Those vehicles are more important to Toyota's image, and I believe they sell more of those. Whatever Petro/Gasoline options those vehicles get will be the only options in the United States.

I don't think the current Tacoma is based off the 4R, but the next Tacoma and 4R will both share the same platform as the Tundra. TNGA-F

The monthly payment on that truck is more than I’m making in mortgage payments. Absolutely absurd!

I know my mortgage is more than that, but no way am I paying 110k for a Tundra. For 80k I can get a new Raptor. Been pricing out vehicles lately, and it truly is astronomical what they cost these days. More speaking to the higher trim level, but even the lower ones. I believe I read the average car price purchased is now around the mid 40s

I’ve had my truck for 6 years and 184000kms now. It’s a well equipped model of a lower end trim level. That’s just a confusing way of saying it’s nothing fancy, but has some nice comfort and convenience features. Lately, I’ve been pricing out similarly equipped new trucks. I’m looking at a more than $13000 dollar (Canadian) price difference from then to today.

The fact people can still afford all these things either means we are all living in debt, and leveraging whatever we have or people really are doing well and making good money

I loved my 03, access cab, step side, Tundra. If they made that body style again, I'd buy it in a heartbeat. Great truck. It didn't make me feel as if I was driving a house, and easily fit in the garage. Today's full-sized trucks are monsters in size compared to mine. However, I do love my Taco now that I have some time under my belt with it.
