A year ago when I started shopping for my Taco my plan was to sell my previous 4x4 and my current tow rig and replace both with a Tundra. For me though I couldn't get past how dated the interior was; to me it felt about ten years out of date whereas the interior in my Taco feels very modern (to be fair I have the Tech package in my Taco) plus the Tundra is too large to take on many of the trails I like to run without risking some body damage.

In the end I decided to replace my previous 4x4 with my Taco, which seems to do fine on the trails I like to run and put a couple of grand into my tow rig (Crew Cab Silverado) to keep it around for a little longer. If I like the next generation Tundra then I may sell my Taco and Silverado and get one after they've been out for a year or two. Time will tell.

I would of bought another tundra after have a gen1 for 19 years, but they've gotten too dam big while the taco grew bigger also. It was a no brainer for me, but i do still miss the wider tundra bed at times, not to mention its plush ride.

Had my 03 Tundra (4.7) for 16 years and absolutely loved it. It was a beast of a truck. Toyota bought it back from me after frame rust issues were found about a year (or 2) ago. But if they made the access cab with the step side bed again, I would trade in the Taco in a heart beat. Just to be clear, I love the Taco also!

I've found after 1 1/2 years with the Tundra it depends on how you use the truck. On the interstate, 75-85 mph, I get about the same mpg. City driving the Tacoma is better and 55-65 mph the Tacoma is much better. A headwind also really crushed the mpg on my Tacoma, moreso than the Tundra.

Yup! Just filled up from a half tank in my Tacoma and it was $30 plus dollars. Dash says I am doing 22 MPG but who knows if that is legit. Either way I am sure with the poor gas mileage of the Tundra I would being doing much worse!! Decisions decisions while I hit my head! LOL

They boogie with superchargers, even the stock TRD makes it faster than some sports cars.

LOL. I'll have to pay out almost $18K difference in cash to make the deal happen out the door with a trade in value of $23.5K for my Tacoma.

I got 30k trade in for my 2015 limited Tacoma... sticker new was 37....

6 years old, still commanding premium value- 2015 taco the last of the 4.0L V6

will most likely be similar when the new tundra is out

That's odd, my wife has a mint 2015 Taco with the 4.0 and 30k miles. Was not offered a trade anywhere near what you got anywhere that I have shopped. Glad you got good $!
