Tough decision and I've though of the same thing before.

However, I know I would need the truck bed for something as soon as I sold it.

It's been a few months now with my 4Runner. Haven't missed the bed once.

If you don't need the bed then it seems like a simple decision.

I'm in the "my wife has a 4Runner" club. I also had one. They're great vehicles and ride MUCH better than the Tacoma IMO.

Wait. You're working on that scenario and have a 4 runner? Unless you sold your taco don't you already have that scenario?

Working on getting a regular cab 4x4 Tacoma, with a manual.

1st or 2nd gen will do.

It'll be kind of a project truck. It will not stay stock.

    Unless a clean E46 M3 comes along....

No money, all went to truck...
I absolutely loved my 3rd gen. Sigh. I miss it so much. Its like the most perfect vehicle ever. But had 2 torn boots, leaking oil, and needed new brakes. The oil leak was bad so it was time to go. Damn, I regret selling it.

I've been saying this for years.....the coolest thing Toyota could do is making another 4Runner with a removable top, like the first gens.

4Runner is great! I miss my 2010 Trail. But the Tacoma is more practical for me personally.

I'm the driver all the time

I'm going in tomorrow to see if I can trade my 15 DCSBORMGM for a 4R Trail.

All the OR features of the 2016 Taco with more interior room and a hood skewp.

    Kidding about the skewp

Good choice either way. Personally I wouldn't ever give up my Tacoma, but of course totally up to you. My wife is about to get a 2015 4Runner Trail model, and I'm pretty excited for sure. Lucky to have the best of both worlds!! I've been giving her all sorts of mod suggestions, but not sure if she gets it! :argue: Looking forward to putting the two head to head off-road.. Of course totally different vehicles so no real comparison, but gonna be fun! :bananadance:

I want a 4Runner too but i love my taco if it were up to me i would pay off my taco and then get a brand new one. Its an SUV but its damn good looking one, if you have kids though the swap seems like a good idea.
