I love the FJ. My only complaint is the awful blind spots.

You would be better off selling your tacoma to an individual rather than trading it into the dealer. A used Toyota like yours is worth nowhere near what they will pay for it.

I bought my wife an '08 Trail Teams FJ. 35k trouble free miles.
A set of 1.75" convex mirrors cure the side blind spot issues.

I forgot to mention,......I owned an '03 TRD Prerunner that was totaled in 05
Been driving a Super Crew F150 since then. Plan to get a new Tacoma in the next month or so.

Nice fix for the blind spots :)

So how does the fj' backseat compare to a 2nd gen double cab tacoma's backseat? Is it the same? Larger? Smaller?

I just bought an FJ and have no complaints. Gets good mileage for what it is and has enough room in the back for most of the things I carry. It does have some horrible blind spots though.

Test drove a whie FJ yesterday. I really liked it more than I thought. The ride was a lot better than I thought as well. Those of you that have em, how much were the dealers willing to work with you on the price? The guy I talked to said, "well we dont get a whole lot in bla bla, bla, theres not a whole lot we can do."

The blind spots sucked, but once you get use to it probaly wouldnt be an issue. I thought the white looked pretty badass.

Added extra awesomeness to its original awesomeness.
    Two words, "Do it!"

If you need the extra bed space, keep the taco, but the FJ's are bad ass. You can't go wrong either way.

I dont need the bed space anymore. I relocated and donig somethign different now. I can throw my bikes on a tire mount on teh FJ. My dogs take up all my space in the taco anyway.

You can fit quite a bit into the FJ if you put the seats down. I would have loved a taco but a similar TRD Offroad taco was almost 6 grand more.
