    I have had my moss 500 since it was a 28" wood stock grandpa gun. It has since gone through MANY revisions and will stay as it sits now. The pistol grips are Hogue Tamers and are not that bad if you are using standard loads. I have never run into any issues with the moss at all.

    One upgrade I suggest you check out is a thumbhole stock....I have one on my shotgun and it makes a real difference when it comes to target acquisition and keeping steady when on point.

    Here's my Mossberg 535 w/ thumbhole stock:

    The only 870s that I would put in the same class as the Mossberg 590A1 would be the 870P models.

    Ya, I don't see how they can help when a beebee is easy to put on your target and at a close range like a house. I don't plan on using slugs or anything. In the future, just for kicks and giggles, I'll put an Eotech on it. The top is already dilled and taped for a rail.
