Get the 612-40 version. 610-40s were made for 2nd Gen. I have Deaver stage 2 springs with about 2-2.5” lift and the 612-40s are have some clearance to allow for articulation, but will engage if needed for heavy loads. You don’t want to be bouncing off of them all the time, they are stiffer than springs. Before I upgraded my suspension I added them because I was squatting with factory leafs with my topper etc. I could definitely feel it when I would go over a bump, it was a little jarring.

I’m about to use the auto shop on my base and rent a bay to install 1.5” AAL pack on the rear and add sumo bump stops with a ubolt flip kit.

I have the 612-40 blue set on a relatively stock 23 Sport. No lift, stock suspension. There is about 1/4” free space when bed is empty. The do contact with large bumps or big road dips.

I will see how they preform when I do some towing this spring. Will take a 9 hr trip to pick up a car on a trailer from a shop.

Do you have the spacer under the sumo? If so, how much space do you have between the frame and top of sumo?

No spacers, the bumps do not touch front and rear. I'm lifted 2/1 on 5100s and when driving and slights bumps that I hit prior to the install re way better now. We have some roads with some issues, small pot holes and man hole covers, these new bumps have really helped as my ride feels great!

Nice. About how much space do you have between the top of the sumo and the frame?

Think of it this way, with the blue SumoSprings there will be right at 1/4” of clearance with stock suspension. Add a lift and the clearance will increase the same amount as the lift.

    minor tweaks
I have the blue sumos on my G2, no lift, new recall springs and 5100s. On mine they barely touched the frame all the time from day one, called sumo and they said that's normal w/ no lift. I love them when there's a couple hundred pounds in the bed like my dirtbike but the unloaded ride was a little harsh over joints in the road and small bumps. I recently put on a topper on and the added the weight was all that was needed to take that harshness out. I still have the stock sway bar, I noticed the sumos also reduced body roll, it wasn't bad before but it's noticeably better with the sumos. I didn't really care for the Sumo's ride on a stock height truck unloaded but they absolutely improve things when you add a little weight.

I have the blue Sumo bump stops in the rear. Stock suspension with the exception of rear Hellwig helper springs. With my 850 lb Four Wheel camper the Sumo springs are barely touching and cushion the ride nicely. I prefer this set up as I did t want my truck riding like a F350 when the camper wasn’t mounted.

How did the 'stubbies' perform? Did they hold-up post chop?
(Let me know if they atre still availablr...)

Ive added bumps in the front, and Im looking for something for the rear - not load-bearing. Only as a softer bump...

    Is your set-up better now?

Has anyone haf any issues withe the added bumpstop heights in the rear?

Yeah they worked great, never had any issues at all with them falling apart or anything. My german shepherd stole the top donut part for a chew toy and she hasn't been able to destroy them either!
They are probably still in the same place buried in my shed, I'd be happy to poke my head in there tonight or tomorrow and see if I can find them if you are interested in them!
The ubolt flip and superbumps are better for sure, I rarely contact them from what I can tell, prob because I have the HD OME springs on my access cab and they are pretty stiff unless I'm loaded down or towing.

I wouldn't call the sumo springs a softer bump really, but compared to the harsh bottom out of the stock bumps I guess that could be considered softer in a way. The sumos were pretty harsh at full height before I was lifted for sure, but kept the truck from sagging under load which is what I was looking for at the time.
