Lift has no effect on amount you need to trim. None. Lift only effects how nuch compression till you rub. The rubbing is exactly the same. In fact if you lift enough to need new UCA you need to trim more than with less lift with stock UCA.

Wow, I did not know that. Thanks. Would make sense though seeing how it would bring the wheel back to a stock position and closer to where it will rub

    Too many to list now.
    I thought 285 was the width, can't you get a 285 that's still a 31? Pretty sure thats what a 285/65/17 would be.

That's the size you want with 2" lift it looks good. Here's pics of Matt's (a local member)

He wants more than stock (bigger tires) & his stock is 2" more lift than most stock. He just wants to know what will work without hacking plastic & bashing metal

If that's the case why don't they all come with 33" tires & no plastic in the wheel wells stock?

I meant just to be able to drive the thing.

And I understand what you're saying about the lift vs trim thing, but for 75%+ people on this site, lift does affect how much they actually do trim. Because most people never use the full flex of their suspension. They just want something that won't rub at full lock. Just an observation I've made.

All you have to do to flex the front suspension is drive fast into a steep incline to a driveway. The rear you would have to actually take offroad.

Why no 33" stock? Fuel economy.
