i'm heard people talking about installing the wires into the A-pillars...can somebody explain to me what this is? is it weather proofing? is the the gap between the headliner and actual roof?

The A-pillar is the sort of vertical plastic are between the windshield and the door where the handle is. It comes off pretty easy and you can run the wire down through to the under side of the dash.

A-pillar cover comes off easily. Pry out the little plastic caps, remove the 2 10mm bolts and pull off the hand grip, then pull off the a-pillar cover. Plenty of room in there.

Anyone else had problems with the lighting on the display going out on their Scan Gauge II? I just noticed mine isn't lit up anymore, so I can't see the screen at night. What a bummer and it just went out of 1 year warranty a few months ago. Anyone want to buy a Scan Gauge with no back light, works great in the day time.
