My wife is a procrastinator. If you would look up the word in a dictionary it would show a picture of my wife in the definition. Now the story....My wife's driver license expired "last year" on her birthday in June. In WV you get the renewal application 2 months before your birthday of the year that it expires. Plenty of time to take care of it. After 6 months and two weeks of procrastination, she decides to go renew her license. Guess what? If you let your drivers license be expired by more than 6 months you have to take the written and drivers exam all over again as if your 16 years old. My wife is 40 years old. She takes the written exam, and of course, flunks it. She passes it a week later and now has her "junior" license to drive on. When you have a "juniors" drivers license, by law, you have to have a licensed driver over the age of 21 with you in the car when you drive. She has had her "junior" license since January and kept procrastinating to take her driving part of the test. Now, here's what happened last night. I was asleep in bed and my cell phone rings. It's my wife and the first thing that she says is "Your going to be mad at me". A cop just pulled me over for not coming to a complete stop at a stop sign and he won't let me drive home because of my license. She was only a 100 yards from our subdivision. My daughter who is 14 was with her. I had to get out of bed, get dressed, walk down the hill. I had to give my license to the state cop so he could run it so he could see that I was legal. I was pissed needless to say. The fine for running the stop sign is $189, and the fine for driving without a 21 year old legal licensed passenger in the vehicle is $214. She went to take her drivers test today in her mothers car since it would be easier for her to parallel park that vehicle. But, you knew this was coming, she flunked it because she didn't know where the hazards warning light was located. I really don't know if this story will ever end. She now has to wait another week before she can take the test over again. Don't get me wrong, I love my wife, but she is her own worst enemy...... Your lesson today is: Get your driver's license renewed and don't ignore it.

Update: The never ending nightmare is finally over!......... My wife passed her drivers test this morning. There is a God in heaven.

Tough break man!!! I think I would accidentially let "it" slip in the bedroom to teach her a lesson...

I did the same thing and had to retake the tests.....failing by one question. Went back the next day and passed. Didn't have to deal with the junior license though.

Wow, that's funny. I'm actually going to renew mine today.

I think it's a good idea to re-test people every 5-10 years. Some people really have no idea how to drive. It is amazing they passed the test the first time. At least that way they would have to learn the rules over again to keep legally driving.

Well laziness will bite you in the ass eventually and it looked like it just bit hers from that cop!! No offense but I cant stand people that procrastinate, especially with something that important like a drivers license.

LOL. Hope everything works out in the end man. My wife is the same way, sometimes I feel like her guardian. I pay all the bills, fill out all forms, and turn in all shit like that. We bought a car this past Friday and she asked me what her cell phone number was and her social security number was

Ask visa or my wife. They both constantly remind me how much I've got left to spend.
X2. The wifey is in the other room and I know that if I start about how bad she is at dodging responsibility that I'm going to be sleeping in the guest room tonight.
