Ive decided to bide my time and put my truck up for sale. If that 1st gen is still around after I sell I can think about it then. Local prices are right around 11-13000 for similar 4 door 1st gens but with more miles (I couldn't find one with less than 200,000). I still owe 35000 on mine. So I'm going to be asking 38000 when I sell, which is right around what I see trucks similar to mine selling for. I just really liked the idea of trading it in so I'd have no down time between trucks but still have a lower payment. Because of my career choice summers can be tough financially and I've got a wife in grad school, kids, mortgage etc. blah blah blah

Thanks for the help everyone :)

Not trying to rain on your parade but who is going to pay $38k for a used 2015 when they cost less than that when they were brand new? A brand new 2016 TRD OR can be had for that price.

Again, not trying to talk you out of it, just wondering where you're getting that number from. If you can sell if for that then by all means, go for it

Hey man, if you think you can get it then go for it. Hell I saw a 2015 Tacoma listed for for $60k once (was heavily modded)...I'm sure someone eventually bought it

38000 leaves a little room for haggling ;)
