  1. Go with the 2009 Tacoma

    56.5%
  2. Stay with the 2005 Tacoma

No problems. Just thinking about bumping up to a new one. I have 97k miles, and I know they will run a long time. That is why I'm not sure if I want to start over with a truck with no miles & longer time till payoff. Or keep mine till payoff. And press my luck to not have a major costly repair.

Im guessing the truck still runs/rides great. I think the only difference is the little LCD screen will read 1 mile instead of 97000 miles. Is that worth thousands of dollars to you?

I say keep the 05, you will probably get hammer if you try and trade it in. Although I have no room to talk, I am on my third 05+ taco. :der:

I have a bass boat & used to go 100 miles RT to the lake (same lake is now 60 RT). Plus I go to various lakes around the state & even Logan Martin in Alabama a few times. I do travel a bit. My family lives at the GA coast :D. 325 miles each way. RT commute to work is 320 miles a week.

My god you sure do drive alot, it would make no sense to start over on millage and if your truck gives no problems keep it and then in a couple of years when your truck hits 400,000 miles or 200,000 miles get another truck like a tundra and keep the Taco and treat it like a classic car, like drive not as much and keep it forever, thats what my plan is for my taco.

With the car market the way that it is. They don't want a used truck. They offered $4k below wholesale for it. Screw them!

And they wonder why all these dealers are going out of business. There has been 4 dealers that I know of, go out of business in the Atlanta area. Well if you won't take a trade for a reasonable amount, how do you expect to sell a new vehicle.

I will keep my truck till it is paid for & maybe by a sports car for my commute. Use the truck for the lake & yard work. I estimate I will have 160,000 miles on it when it is paid for. No biggie! I will hit 100,000 miles in about a month. It has been an awesome truck.

    Stock. Purchased 2/17/19. Cement!
you can always add the bluetooth, back-up camera...etc. Stay with the 05. If you were speaking SAFETY, like side-curtain airbags, then I would say get the 09. Thats a tough call. Remember, dont get the gray! Everyone is going to get that color because its different than all the others. Tough choice!

Only reason I got rid of my 07 was to get a DC and the V6. Otherwise, these trucks are built to last. I would keep the 05 and mod the hell out of it.

I'm keeping the 05. My whole purpose of trading was to get more than I owed to payoff some lingering medical bills. But since the stealership doesn't want to play fair. Screw'em!

It is pretty much modded like I want. Only thing missing is a grille.

    Sometimes less is more.

    Thanks.

I still can't believe the Stealer offered only 10K for it.

    BUILT, not bought...

I love your truck. Yours is the only white one I have ever seen that I liked (except the tonneau cover).

    A few bolts are different.
timberland green (dont now what its called) but it looks great. I have never seen one in person. Magnetic gray is going to be like the town bicycle.
