They had some problems with the early e46 ///M3s. I had an 04 and it was nothing but fun. Solid car. It was such fun to drive.

They aren't too expensive to fix. The only that that really goes on them is balljoints and door seals.

I'd wait to buy the Camaro. Wait for a few reasons, the convertibles to come out, the newer versions (the twin-turbo or synergy model). Hell, even for the newer colors (hydro blue or olympic white).

Like i said my GTO was solid but i did a burnout and one wheel was on concrete and the other was on blacktop and toasted my posi. The GTO/Camaro has nice touches like super nice interior, stainless lines(brake/fuel), aluminum suspension components, etc. I loved that car and the posi was replaced under warranty. If i had the money id really look at a 2011 Camaro, let them work out the bugs on the 10

    Uhhhh

The GTOs were V platform cars and the Camaro is a Zeta platform car...

ok there similar but not identical but they are close. I refer to the G8 as basically the same car too. the differences are there but they are really similar basic chassis. different versions of the same basic car

I love the new Camaro I have not seen what the new SS is putting down but im sure its amazing. The GTO's are ok I think a little over rated for the lack there of power and how hard they are to shift. (I have 2 buddies with them) My 08 WRX with a reflash and exhaust walked all over both the GTO's though. Dont get me wrong I love the GTO's and would love to have one, but Im more of a Camaro guy in this battle.

If I didn't need my taco for work, hauling, etc I wouldn't have it. Dont get me wrong, I love this freakin truck, but if I didn't "need" it Id still be in my IS300 or another sports car

this would be a great idea IF 95% of the 03-04 cobras weren't ragged out. You could find one in good shape but it wouldn't be easy and you might have to do some traveling to pick it up

I totally agree. Like trying to find a supra. They are either pieces of crap with too much boost and nitrous with 180,000 miles on them or they are mint and someone wants $80 grand for it.

    OP,
There are a lot of great cars out there in that price range if you are willing to go used.

Heck even a LS6 CTSv could probably be had for that price. Even an e55 AMG mercedes.

If you have 35 grand to blow, think good and hard about what you want.

    +1 . Get use z06 . they're lighter, aerodynamic, and more HP. that's Ferrari killer .put 5k down you'll got 500RWHP easy on Z06
    426 crank HP of Camaro you got 310RWHP while Z06 got 415RWHP. I used to own 05 K3 E55 AMG and I got 495RWHP and 565RWTQ.
