I would recomend a dog. Only because every cat I have been in contact with it triggers my allergys, claws me and scratches. Not my bestfriend I love dogs though!

    I view all of God's creatures the same , I don't think it's a two tiered system .

I was kinda half joking in the first post , kinda

My wife is extremely socialable....her cats are paranoid anti-social filth mongers. I think the quote of people reflecting their animals was referring to dogs.......:)

Why would you have a pet and just be waiting for it to die? Seems kinda pointless... not to mention it makes you sound like an inhumane jackass.

    I know you were half-joking...so was I. But I despise PETA....where a cat's life is more important than a human's. I don't abuse animals...but I see them for what they are....animals. DIE PETA.

I don't have a pet. My WIFE does. See prior posts. I am forced to live with them, or choose divorce. So how does that impact my view of cats? Guess.....

my little shitball of fur decided last night was an all night rave/acoustical jam session/parkour training camp.

Constantly going from one side of the room to the other, would mess with the zippers on my guitar case and trying to climb it, then go to the other side of the room and try and climb a rolled up banner in the corner and then jump off crashing onto the bed. He would sit on the bed and attack any movement at all, moving feet, moving hands, breathing chest...haha
    cats are crazy fuckers.

Dogs and children do that too. Dogs eat cat shit habitually :notsure:

My response was in regard to general nature, not a specific terrifying incident with an individual animal.

    Hi there, Tiger.

I happen to personally know a James Flanagan (deceased, RIP) who at the age of 17 joined the Army and was assigned to the 101st. Before dawn on June 6, 1944, he jumped in behind enemy lines in Normandy. He then proceeded to fight across France and ended up in Bastogne, where he spent a memorable Christmas and earned two purple hearts.

After the war, he built and raced T-6 trainers, and was an expert A&P mechanic. At the age of 75, he could poke you in the ribs with his fingers, and make you double over in pain.

He loved cats. But I guess he is a big homo now?

    Get a life.

I think cats rule and are great companions but I would definitely suggest adopting two so when you’re not around they can entertain themselves. Here’s a pic of my boys, total slackers and I love em for it :D

    Man up

I've been scratched and biten by all my pets (not just cats) at one point in time, it's part of having a pet. If you don't have the patience for a pet or don't know how to train one, don't get one, plain and simple.

I have three, all adopted, and I would never choose to get rid of them. Besides getting them fixed and occasional shots, they are relatively cheap pets.
