Thinking if the Tacoma Limited can become overland?

Everyone From Tacoma World. I have a 2017 tacoma limited 4x4 and i was thinking if i should build it as an off road rig? Give me yours opinion.

Hell yea it can! ARB Front and rear lockers, some sliders and skid plates, wheels and tires, a proper 2 inch lift, and whatever visual accessories you want and you'll have a beast. I'd recommend that you get some good A/T tires first, take it offroad and see what you need. The list I posted is kinda my dream limited build. But yes, for sure, and I'd love to see it.

 

With enough money anything is possible

 

Or just cut out the middle man and swipe glamping photos off some other "overlanding" cringelord's Instagram account, repost on your account and save the time/$ of buying that yourself.

You won't even have to sleep "outside". You will be like the Bear Grylls of "overlanding".

 

Sure it can be done, I'd start with the little sticker in the driver's door jamb, that has your truck's payload and GVWR. I'm not saying you shouldn't build, just understand you'll more than likely be over when you're done, or to the point you can't bring your pet goldfish with you.

 

You have to de chrome it , change the wheels and take the limited badges off .

 

Heck, a Prius can become an overlander…...

 

You can drive to work with a tent on any Tacoma, trim level is irrelevant.

 

This strategy only works if you start by buying the most well-optioned version from the factory, then declare all of its well-engineered features complete shit and THEN lard it up with 10k in stuff. But yeah…this.

 

Anyone can be a fauxverlander or an overloader, just depends on how dedicated you are to the cause.
