Why not go the other direction and reinforce all the crumple zones or just fully box the frame.
That way when you get hit the vehicle doesn't get damaged since all the crash energy goes into you, the driver and passengers.
That's why old cars could drive away from medium speed impacts because they sacrificed the driver.

A trip to Harbor Freight with 2 Benjamin's in your pocket will solve the lack of welder problem.

What if you got a second Taco frame and bolted it to the current frame, no welder necessary.
It should be able to handle twice the impact speed, right?

    LMFAO.

It's funny reading these responses. You can tell ( with a few exceptions ) who the Tacomaworld rookies are.

Dont suggest this because the frame is meant to crumple. It is engineered to do that. Its most likely not fixable because your frame experienced plastic deformation. So the material was pushed outside of its elastic deformation zone due to the high stresses. Simply cutting this on your newer tacoma could invoke serious downstream problems. You could potentially open up pandoras box of issues caused by vibrations, mechanical fatigue, stress concentrations, etc.

Costco sells HP. Might be one of the cheapest ways to get lots more if you’re already a member.
