Thinking of doing SR5 grill on TRD OR

Thinking about putting an SR5 grill on my 18 Cement TRD OR and painting the chrome Basel red. Thoughts or anyone done something similar?

 

I like the SR5 grille. Been thinking about painting my bezel black. Not sure about red though.

 

Guessing there's no good way to mount the TSS sensor on a SR5 grille?

 

You can always paint it whatever color you want to match something.. i did mine couple of times with silver and matte black but i ended up with this one...

 

I put on an SR5 Grille and have been happy with it.

 

Just get a 2018 SR5 grille

 

DO ITTTT! the pro grill is over played and the cheese grater look is just ugly. I like my sr5

 

I have one I pulled off my 18. Where are you. Grill and surround.

 

I think the 18 TRD Grille looks pretty nice. The color is unique and not generic black. If you like it though, I have no problems. I would suggest purchasing an SR Black bezel or plasti dipping the chrome and combine it with the 18 TRD Grille. Looks pretty good IMO.

 

If I wasn't able to get my hands on the Pro grille, the SR5 was going to be my go-to. Super rugged look and IMO, the TRDs and SRs should have been swapped.

 

I am in Idaho.

Found one on eBay that’s an 18 so the TSS will work. Comes with a bezel so I have a spare to try color options with, but black probably is the better option over my original thought of red.

Speaking of grilles. Is the 18 Limited grille now completely chrome?

 

The '18 OR grilles look best with the SR surround IMO...and no derp to worry about.

Yeah I think so. That’s all I’ve seen on Limiteds at my dealer

 

I would go SR instead of SR5. No chrome bezel. SR grill is how all non-Pro's should've come with. I actually much prefer the SR grill to Pro.

 

I prefer SR over Sr5 myself too. But I still think it looks too generic compared to the 18 TRD Grille. I just think it's a more creative design and looks good with both black or chrome trim.

 

I actually prefer my SR/SR5 Grille over the TRD and the Pro... Only thing I don’t like about the SR5 is the chrome bezel.
I was thinking of buying a black one, but the cost up here is almost $200CDN.
I’ll probably just paint my chrome one...
