I’m not 100% oppsed to chrome...
The reason I don’t like it in certain circumastances is the upkeep it takes to keep looking nice. And on the front of a vehicle that sees bugs, salt, rain, snow etc. the chrome just starts to get pitted and shitty unless you clean and polish it every day... Huge PITA...
at least black or painted parts don’t look shitty if they’re not cleaned all the time.

Yep, minor difference. I like the "generic" look, though. My truck is black and I like the highlighted "T" emblem. Either way, I'd have been satisfied with the SR or SR5 grill on my '17 TRD.

I like the chrome bezel on my SR5 grille. I think it balances out the chrome on the rest of my truck. I have the chrome rear bumpers.

Looks awesome, I'm picking up a black surround today for my OR. Does it just pop-off/on?

Pretty much...remove grille from truck, take out the screws (behind around the perimeter), release/push out the tabs for the surround (chrome, so easy to spot surround versus grille), remove old/pop in new surround, put screws back in, and put grille back on truck. Takes about 15 minutes, and that's if you're moving slow...

So I received my SR5 grill, still contemplating colors. I did a fast mock up with a red bezel, I think that will these weekends project. Figure if I don’t like it it’s easy enough to paint again.

Got it done this morning. SR5 grill, with chrome bezel rattle canned matte black and one of the horizontal bars painted gloss red for contrast.
