Thinking of doing SR5 grill on TRD OR

What ere we griliin? Bone in Ribeye for me

 

I replaced my 2019 SR5 grill with a 2020 SR grill. I color matched the center of it to the truck, and added Raptor style grill lights and a front camera.

 

Reviving an old thread. I came across these posts a year ago and went on a man hunt to track down an all black SR grille. Everything in my area was chrome or silver. I patiently waited to find one and it was only $55 off marketplace. Coming from the Off-road/sport grille, this looks much better. I think it’s the best looking grille Toyota offers. Very happy with the way it turned out




Don’t mind the two blue things coming out of the bottom grille. I ran out of daylight to reinstall my Diode Dynamic SS5 pods and it was calling for rain so I cut the fingers off a glove to put over the harness

 

That's a nice clean look.

You had to delete the 3 diagonal line thing...which has no where to live on your SR grill + it doesn't need it.

 

I might reinstall it. Instead of using the nuts and bolts I may try double sided tape.

 

I did the same swap on my TRD OR. It’s a clean classic look. And because SR grilles are commonly deleted, it’s a budget mod.

 

My 21 TRD OR doesn't have the chrome surround on the grill. It's matte black (edit: same gray as the grill). The original brochures states that it has a chrome surround, but I haven't seen an image of a 2021 OR chrome surround online either. Did they silently delete the chrome grill surround but somehow maintain the chrome bumper caps?
