Thinking of selling. Thoughts!?!

Im thinking of selling my rims and tires. Whats a good resale price range? the tires have at the max 8000 miles. i purchased the truck with them on there and the truck only has 8000 miles.

Tires = Nitto Terra Grapplers 285/65/18
Rims = Ultra wheels Lighting 18"

Selling cause i really want some black wheels.!!

 

Get them powdercoated...

electricly charged power they spray on the chrome, then bake it on..comes out good!

 

So can i get it done in certain areas of the rim or the whole thing must be done?

 

I think it will have to be the entire rim.. They may be able to tape off certain areas. Just call up a shop.

 

I'm like 95% sure they can do either a clear coat powder or just tape it off....

 

You could probably have it taped off and do the parts of the wheel that you choose, but remember, the more work that goes in to taping and spraying and etc etc will just add to the expense of having it done.

Im not real sure thats why i started this, but everyone wants me to paint them. I was thinking somewhere in the area of 1350 maybe less. Might put on ebay.

 

If you like the style of rim, then I would just say keep them and get them powdercoated. Its probably the best option, but not the cheapest.

Another option would be to sand and paint them yourself (cheapest alternative, but probably the most likely to chip or scratch)

Or finally, just sell the entire rims and tire sets and start from scratch. You won't get what you paid for them, and tire warranties and stuff goes out with that too.

 

see I didnt pay for them they came with, from dealer! its a second hand vehicle.

That chrome is a good look.

Don't cross over to the dark side.
