it's not but, ok. Physics don't lie, the turning radius and physical size of the truck is GREATER than the DCSB.

To clarify my comment on the “quality” again. The paint is fragile, do a search, the interior has a lot of plastic, frames rusting, bearings going out prematurely, etc. I have been fortunate that I haven’t had any major issues with mine, other than the paint being fragile. In the segment the ride is the best, I average 18-20 depending on my driving conditions (60mph highway or 70) and the world hasn’t caught on to the fact that Tacoma’s are NOT what everyone thinks of when it comes to “it’s a Toyota, it will never die”... so the resale value is holding strong.
Attached is a photo I just took, there is a full-size Ford SUV right next to me, can’t see it because this mid-size truck is larger than the Ford Expedition parked next to it. I am confident in my skill at parking and having owned several full size Dodge diesels I know there are just places you and can’t park them, unless you want to do a 47 point turn. I am not talking about every single time I try and park it but if you go to a mall or very busy area, like Seattle for me, where they are trying to eek every last little bit of space out of a parking lot, you are going to have to do some jockey’ing to get into and out of spots.

What does "rides like cack" mean when referring to the ZR2 Diesel?

I had a 2018 ZR2 Diesel and it definitely rode much better than my '18 Pro. Those DSSV shocks on that truck are awesome, they definitely handle much better on the road than the Fox ones in my Tacoma.

I haven't argued otherwise. I don't think there's any skill required for someone to drive a LB as their first truck. But the SB is easier for the same reasons you won't have to three point areas on a trail that you would a LB. That's not skill, that's wheelbase.

Quality issues: the damn whistling somewhere around 60mph is about it for me.

I haven’t done full blown research on every single truck or vehicle being manufactured today, but I’m pretty sure that some form of plastic is used in nearly everything, especially interiors. I have some paint chips, but north east Texas roads are notorious for that. No bearing failure (despite running a lift, big tired and wheel spacers) and no frame rust to speak of either.

“Paint is garbage” how exactly?? I generally go months without washing my truck, but when I do it shines right up as if brand new. I also park under a tree everyday (right above my driveway unfortunately) and it hasn’t had any impact on the paint either.

You do know there is a TSB for that rear whine howl. I got it done on mine and isn’t an issue anymore. Paint has chips from rocks going off-road/on road, but that’s to be expected, unless you want to put a clear bra over the whole truck.

for an '18? I generally ask everytime I am at the dealer for a ToyotaCare service if there are ANY TSBs but, I imagine that isn't sufficient since they don't want to do any of that crap if they don't have to...? They just called me up and told me that they had ordered a part for a recall without my knowledge but that isn't the same as a TSB me thinks.

Unfortunately enough for me, the previous owners of my house covered nearly 1/4 of the garage into the laundry room, so my Tacoma won’t even fit, my Honda mini truck does though but just barely!
