Interior Space. 2 guys sitting up front in a Tundra > Tacoma. Tundra V8 is superior vs. the 3.5 under-powered V6 in the 3rd gen taco. Not sure about the transmission in the Tundra but the tacoma transmission is annoying at times and shift points are all fucked up. I've considered upgrading to the Tundra but its more than what I need for my daily needs so Ive learned to live with the Tacoma downfalls. There is no such thing as a perfect truck Ive learned but Tacoma suites me best.

Been two years sense I test drove a Tacoma so I understand driving a vehicle in its power-band and not comparing it to bigger engines. I’m a little concerned about the post I’ve seen about rust . Is this a widespread problem? A lot of my fishing is in saltwater. No need in rushing that process

depending on where you live, new Tacoma is gonna cost you $3,500 in sales tax (California).

Also, how customized was your Tundra? Wheels, stereo, floor mats can run you $3,000 just to get the thing how you like it.

My First and second gen tacos both had rust in the frames. First one I traded in for second gen and the second gen frame was swapped out by Toyota and it was covered my the recall. No issue yet with my 17 Tacoma yet with rust.

Or you could wait a bit till 2021 and get the new Tundra 3.6-liter twin-turbocharged V6 hybrid supposedly 450hp and about 30mpg. :woot:

During your test drive, get out on the high way and pay attention to mpgs, I’m not thrilled with my mpgs when I’m on the highway.

Pics of the tundra?!... Personally I'd keep the full size if I were you. You're going to hate the power difference. It's always hard to go from a v8 to a v6

I would not do it op... unless you are ok with the lesser space and want to drive manual... other than that I do love my taco but a tundra is roomier (for family). Full size pick up is slower to maneuver... I drive my taco like a car except tight turns and rain... different vehicles...
