Because you don't like the styling? Honestly, styling is about item 8 on my criteria for buying a truck. Anything else? For real.

That warranty is on all the Titans. I just drove one and thought the ride was really nice and peppy. Doing 65 seemed like 45. I didn't like that the gas tank was only 26 gallons and no option for a bigger tank. The 2wd was rated at 21 mpg and I think the 4wd is 20 (highway). It's on my list now.

I drove a 19 Tundra 1794 tonight and was underwhelmed. The only way I can think to describe it is "tank-like". They feel really sluggish to me on the entrance ramp unless you really put your foot into it. I thought the Titan felt way more responsive. I also like the road feel of the Titan, but the Tundra just felt like a tighter build, if that makes any sense. I think I need to drive a Ford to compare.

I so wanted to test drive that 2.7L EB with 10 speed trans but I was only half way thru my lease, my payments would of been thru the roof if I decided to buy out at end of lease, so decided on another Tacoma, well see what happens at end of this lease

I had one for almost a month during my Ford lemon ordeal. Pretty cool truck, tons of power. But I just knew that transmission, the engine or both would end up exploded. Transmission was definitely different after that weekend....
To be fair, the last week I had it I drove almost the entirety of the PCH and back up I5. Traction control/peeling out around corners and such. The truck was meant as daily commute or towing, not FUN. I would not trust that truck past the warranty. (sorry future owner, not sorry to Ford)
Haven't done that abuse with my Tacoma yet, but I don't baby it either.

In cold climates the air ride suspension on the Ram can have issues and if so, it is a very costly fix. My brother ended up trading his 16 Ram with air ride for a 19 with a coil spring suspension due to the problems and cost to fix. Of course, the whole system failed just after warranty. That eco diesel in the 16 was a great power train. It had some issues but he still prefers it over the 5.7 hemi he has now. He actually regrets his trade in. He likes the LED headlights in the new one.....and that's about it.

One other note....I actually miss the column shifter. I did not know GM still used them. Center console shifter takes up too much space and I don't care for the dodge knob.

Bro. Not trying to be a Toyota fanboy here, but the Tundra has been consistently at the top of all longevity surveys.

longest time held by original owners, highest % percent of vehicles owned 15 years or more, highest % models over 200k, highest % models over 300k, highest resale value, multiple famous 1 million mile vehicles on original equipment.

there isn’t one single domestic full size that is on any of those lists. Not saying domestic trucks aren’t great vehicles because they are (except Fiat trash), but to call out another user, because they point to the clear factual evidence that the tundra is one of most reliable vehicles in the automotive history, is almost ignorant.

long-term Nissan fan here. Id stay away from any of their vehicles now. There are just too many problems with their vehicles now that Renault took over. It’s not just their trash CVTs. there are all kinds of problems.

it’s just not the same company that made classic vehicles like the Nissan hardbody, Frontier, pathfinder, patrol, Silvia, 240sx, 180sx, Z, Sentra SE and others. They ruined their goodwill.

my aunt and my cousin were long-term dodge/Chrysler fans. We’re talking 20-30 years of loyalty.

Both of them will never buy dodge/Chrysler vehicles again due to all repairs they have had over the years

no serious mechanic will recommend a fiat product, and they werent that good before fiat took over either.

if you buy a vehicle from Nissan, fiat/Chrysler, Mitsubishi or even VW at this point in time, your repair bills aren’t the manufacture’s fault, they are your fault. These manufacturers aren’t selling you any lies, they know and we all know, what trash gets sold off their lots.

If you don’t listen to the facts, then you deserve all trouble that comes with owning these vehicles. They also don’t owe you a dime because they clearly aren’t advertising their vehicles as being reliable.

I'd get the tundra no question. I owned a Chevy and a Ford before buying my Tacoma. The Chevy was a good truck, but around 200k miles the tranny went. The Ford was junk. Made it to 100k miles and leaked coolant, leaked oil, and the timing chain was going (rattled on cold start) which was a very costly repair with those complex Ecoboost engines. Also, the water pump is internal and known for going out. I also had an old ranger and it had a bunch of electrical issues and the tranny went out at around 90k miles. I'm done with Ford.

I don’t have any of the above but my company has fairly new ford and dodge pickups and a older Tundra. The Dodges are parked in front of the mechanic shop more than the fords, no idea the issues, I don’t drive those but if you ever have to choose Freighliner vs International get the Freightliner lol

    The redesigned 2021 F-150 debuting later this year will be under intense scrutiny. It’s still the #1 selling full size pickup with nearly 900,000 units sold last year. Fun fact: A new F-150 pops off a Ford assembly line every 53 seconds;
