Yes!!! I used to be in the camp that tacomas are better then f150, Silverado, ram, tundra because they are smaller and easier to drive…..but now seeing that I’m getting 15mpg combined with my 2015, and our new born taking up a lot of space in the rear…..makes me want a f150. Much more room, and better mpg. The only downside, I won’t be able to fit thru tight off road spaces…..and parking in the garage at work will suck.

A few additions to make me feel cool.
I am a diehard Chevy guy and have 3 pickups and the wife drives a Tahoe, a couple have the 5.3 but my 2022 has the 2.7 turbo. Sounds crazy but go drive one. I use it as my daily driver and it’s the most fun pickup I have ever driven.

I didn’t trade in my Tacoma, but I’ll throw my opinion in there! Picked this up last month, you don’t want a diesel, so get the HEMI.

As someone who has a 3/4 ton crew cab chevy and a CCSB tacoma, unless you need a full size for payload/towing....there is absolutely no point and it will be a gigantic pain in the ass.

Parking is a bitch. My big truck sits unless I need to put 2000+lbs in the bed or tow something over 5000lbs. Otherwise, I take the taco. Everything is easier

Keep the taco AND get a full size ;)

Honestly though, if you don't need the full size don't get it. Mine just sits unless I'm towing or have something exceptionally big or heavy I need to transport. I daily a highlander

Nevada, we are too close to the madness that is California.

If things don't change, you will be paying double also, unfortunately.

The latest two generations of half ton Rams are great trucks, they ride, handle and have refinement like no other half ton. I had a hard time deciding between the Ram and the Tacoma.
Having owned three Toyota's I opted for the third gen. Some days I'm glad I did, some I'm not.

Last week the wife and I were driving and she said: Honey it's so big...
I pretended not to hear her and made her repeat it twice.

Then today she said: you know.... it's not really so big after all... sigh.... they always figure that out.

Get what you want, but don’t let the increased trade in value factor, cause you’re just over paying on something even more expensive, so you’re really just paying more. Unless you were going to sell and wait.

This is exactly the reason I'm going back to Toyota trucks. Babied a Chevy Silverado only to have the engine play out at 134k miles. And don't ask about the steering system. In my very limited experience, Chevy trucks are not what they were.
