    Yes.

Will and I will be a little further up the road on Friday morning, as we are camping tonight, but as far as I am aware, that is where the group is scheduled to meet on Friday morning.

Shoot me a text or message with your coordinates when you know them, I might try getting out there tonight instead of waking up at 4-something am to drive out there.

The fires are making my trek to the meet spot more lengthy since I have to skirt around them through Phoenix now. Makes the drive 3.5 to 4.5 hours now instead of 2.5 taking a more direct route through Winkleman and Globe.

Its going to be a gametime decision for me on Saturday. Still moving the last shit into the new place and I really dislike camping with no fire at all. Not even a propane ring is ridiculous. Might just stay home and have a fire in the fireplace. :bananadead:

So I called 928-477-2255 for the Mongollon Rim station and the answering machine says we can use propane camp fire. The machine directed me to call 928-587-7575 for details. They confirmed that we can use propane fire pit while camping in the Forrest even in stage 2 restrictions.

She clarified that on private lands you can’t use them but Forrest you can.

@Sapnjack yeah I just saw this. Says prohibited within city limits. You guys will likely be outside city limits when at camps. But I would call all stations along the way to verify.

Ok yea just confirmed with 928-587-7575 that we can have propane fire pit throughout the Coconino national forrest as long as we’re in the Forrest.

Sweet. I know they changed the rules slightly since last year. Also don’t think we ever got into stage 2 last year so never really looked into it for fire pits since we’ve only had ours since winter

I see the Slate fire has grown with zero containment. So how will this affect our trip?

We might not be able to make it to the Grand Canyon area, which might mean just going straight up 89, which might mean we could probably finish by Sunday afternoon

I'm shooting at meeting up with you guys sometime tomorrow. Probably not tomorrow morning. Was trying for tonight but that's not working out. Worst case, I'll meet at tomorrow night camp site. Just try posting a location or texting it to me sometime tomorrow if you guys have reception. Otherwise, I'll just go to the location indicated on the first post for Friday night's camp site.
