    When: Feb 8 - 9 or Feb 15 - 16
Where: Jacks River Fields or Sarah Creek or ???

It's that time again - winter camping! Time to harden up your game - freeze your butts off while eating old, cold freeze dried food. At least you won't need a fridge to keep your drinks cold.

Like the last two years, I'd like to camp Friday and Saturday night.

Post if you are interested, pick a weekend (or suggest a new one), and pick or suggest a location.

    Who's in?

I'm not afraid of hypothermia, and thought this spot would make for epic sunrises/sunsets in some cold, clear weather (Google Wauchessi Fire Tower):

However if there's any sort of frozen precipitation there's no getting up or down the road leading there. The Holly Flats Campground just down from there on Bald River Rd would be a nice alternative.

A more southern alternative for a nice vista would be a visit to Pickens Nose:

With camping at Hurricane Creek Primitive Campground. Or at Sarah's Creek since it's only an hour south of there.

I'm good with whatever, and February (right now) is wide open for me. No matter where we go I'll enjoy the snide remarks about the vehicle I'm bringing. :D

It's looking like the 14-15-16 weekend will work better for me.
