Hey yall, just finished installing some new headlights of my 2019 TRD sport and I’m left with some panel gaps right underneath the headlights after I put everything back together. Thoughts?

Is the bumper a genuine OEM part, or aftermarket? I got backed into in my apartment parking lot a while back and thought I'd cheap out buy buying an aftermarket bumper. I have "gap issues" with the fitment similar to what you're experiencing.

Did it have the same problem before you took it apart?

You may be able to loosen hardware, shift the bumper, then tighten again to adjust the gaps some. Getting everything half tight, then going back to fully tighten when your happy with the placement can help.

That being said, this doesn't look to bad, though it is a little too zoomed in to tell for sure.

It is an OEM bumper. And it looked perfect before I took it apart. I’m think maybe I broke those black clips that hold it together? Let me see if I can find a before pick.

Good suggestions here on loosening every connection, then slowly tightening all up and checking the gap as you go, to figure out where/why it's pulling away like that. I had to leave some of mine looser on the bottom clips and push the lower portion of the bumper forward. I think I actually removed two of the push-lock body pins and replaced with small zip ties, to make them less aligned with the holes (but making bumper gap look better)

if you can't shrink the gap then maybe try some thin weather stripping to fill it? Wont look perfect but might make you feel better about having the gap sealed at least. Fortunate to have white paint as you could grab white stripping

OP, It can definitely be aligned properly. If you try everything already mentioned and you can’t get it aligned then my thought would be take it to your local body shop and have them align it.
