I know I have seen on here, a few times, contact info for some guy (I wanna say he was out of Kansas??) that sold extended warranties for a good price ...

I've tried searching on here a bit but there is so much info about warranties here to dig through... Any info/reviews on him would be awesome !!

These warranties are a waste of money. I get calls, emails, and letters about these types of warranties all the time. They rarely have any real info and even if you do see some "fine print" there are clauses about having ANY modifications, many parts are excluded and will be listed as "normal wear items". Do you think these people will fork over 4k for a new transmission after you fried it towing your 22 foot travel trailer? Good luck putting that claim in, where do you even start, they will just claim abuse. It's like burial insurance, you're a sucker if you buy it.

And btw: My 2005 Taco is for sale, the sale will be handled through eBay financial services and you will have 2 weeks to inspect it to your liking or you will get your money back, lol.

He would be referring to the 3rd party. Although in some cases like he said even the Toyota warranties won't cover if you have aftermarket parts/modifications. The real difference is that a genuine Toyota warranty doesn't make you pay a deductible ~$200

A little known fact about this extended warranty, you have to use the issuing dealer for service if within 50 miles I just went through this as I use an authorized service center for most of my work and was denied on a simple claim due to being within the 50 mile range and had to take it to the dealer.

I agree that they are a waste of money 100%. You're better off just saving an emergency fund.

The warranty is actually for a friend that bought a new car. The "financing manager" is actually a really good salesman that scared my buddy into thinking he needs the warranty because there is so much electrical components in new cars that cost "thousands of dollars in damage WHEN they go out"
