Third time's a charm (not a good luck one, either)

So, my 2016 has been rear ended for a third time in 15 months.

Oddly enough, I don't think I had any whiplash, or other injury.

    Back:

    Bumper:

    Bed pulled by tailgate:

    The gap on the right:

Is smaller than the gap on the left:

If you are in the Phoenix area, around 35th Avenue and Glendale, and see a light gray or white older Jeep Cherokee with a ROUGH COUNTRY sticker on the back, this was likely the hit-and-run culprit.

I agree! Honestly I don't believe in a lot of things but I do believe certain things and people have bad luck. That truck could just be bad luck. I had a buddy with a mazda3. Newer one. That damn thing was stolen once, wrecked twice, window's smashed in at least once and stuff stolen out of it. It was just a black standard Mazda3. He traded it I'm and Got a Wrangler. Never had that "luck" again. Get rid of the truck OP!!!

Sorry to hear that! Glad you are ok. I had my 05 TRD OR MT 4x4 rear ended 4 months after I bought it, Ins totaled it due to bent frame. Hope your truck is fixable or you get a good rate for replacement!

How hard can it be to see a bright red truck. Good grief. Lucky you haven't been hurt!!

Nothing good seems to happen in the avenues of Phoenix

Some people just follow too darn close. When I look in the rear view mirror and can't see the grill of the car behind me, I double the distance between me and the car in front. Be nice not to have to do that. OP, hope your Tacoma gets fixed or replaced to your satisfaction.

Yep, same pickup, 3 times rear ended. Don't get it. Bright red, bright-ass lights, and for 2 of the 3, the other driver had been behind me for at least a short distance (this one about a mile, tailgating of course).

    Damage estimate tonight.

A TON of uninsured motorists in AZ, it is an issue here for sure. One of my employees got hit by an illegal without insurance a couple weeks ago on the freeway. Rear ended, no insurance. At least she stopped. Totaled his car.

Sorry to hear that man. The ironic thing to me is that it's red, which is an easy color to pick out in front of you. People and their phones man.....people and their phones.

Apparently easier than one thinks. I had a red dodge dakota that my mom backed into. There was a little tree she was trying to miss and she somehow managed to overlook the big red truck. Truck had dual exhaust and left two holes in the back bumper of the car.

It's amazing at how many people pull out in front of a bright red truck too. I've had black and blue tacomas and I've probably had more people pull out in front of me in only 1 yr than the combined 6 years with the other two. Luckily I'm already letting off the gas, figuring they're going to be a dumbass.
