Most of the time the buy back is extremely cheap. Someone totaled my M3 a few years back and my buy back cost was $800, ended up parting that out for a good penny.

Am I the only one who said "accident forgiveness" in a deep, black man's voice?

I had the Hartford and a similar experience. They were very polite and the adjuster told me to take all my parts. They gave me 18 for a 2wd 05 with 135k miles cha ching! It was also my brother that totaled it so maybe they felt bad.

18 for a 05 that is very good, they also said I could get my high end audio equipt, however I ended up buying back the salvage truck for basically nothing and giving me the time to take apart and part out did you have that option?

Well I wasn't driving, your son probably won't be so lucky. I wanna say the buy back was $1500. I didn't have the space or motivation to part it out, plus made out with the payout so didn't bother. Wherever the truck ended up someone came up on some allpro ucas. My neck was too stiff and I didn't know if they were still good after the wreck so I left them.
