This doesn't look right to me. *Steering column

    I was running some wires behind the finish panel when I noticed this. Doesn't look like the shaft is all the way in? I took the bolt out and tried to push the shaft in more... huh huh... But it didnt move. It looks like it isnt even a half inch in there. What do I do?[​IMG]

    Just took the whole column out to try to get it to go in further but I couldnt get it in any more than that.

    I'm sure it's ok. The bolt goes through an indent in the splined shaft. If it's not in all the way or too much the bolt won't slide in. maybe take the bolt out and shine a light to see if the shaft has that indentation. Also make match marks on the shaft in case you remove it so you know where to go back into.
