This doesn't seem right?

Yeah I noticed the ride change... now where it sits now is level front and back ride hight, how do I keep the front sitting that high with out being able to go up on the coilover? would a spacer do it, but seems to me I would run into the same problem with a spacer

 

Spacers are the worst thing you could do, a truck is supposed to sit ass high anyways because you load the bed not the front bumper.

 

A spacer alone would ride better than the way it's currently setup with barely any down travel.

 

I definitely wouldn't opt for a spacer. The ride quality is okay. The UCA's would most likely still be in the same position if you wanted to achieve a 2.5-3inch lift. I made the mistake of a 2.5 inch above coil spacer. Never again. If it's a 1/4 or 1 inch spacer you'll most likely be alright.

 

It's nice to have suspension down travel.

It would ride better than a 3" lift that was achieved by compressing the coil and eliminating pretty much ALL of your down travel.

 

Absolutely correct. The spacer is going to compress the coil further down and pretty much bypass the bumpstops. If you bottom out, the shock will absorb the brute impact essentially weakening it. Then you'll be forced to replace the shock, so do it right the first time.
