Just want to clear this up and not further derail this thread . My post was intended to provide a little levity to the situation and I already knew Lex was OK after following his posts in Live when he posted the pics of his truck

    vvvvv

The only person I remotely care if I offended would be the OP and if I did I apologize however he seems to be the kid of guy that would take it as a joke so I assumed that would not be the case .

While I find EatMyTacomaDust's post a bit of an over reaction , at least if he had something to say he just said it instead of skulking off to another forum to bitch about me ;)

    Carry on

Damn, OP. I'm sorry, that really sucks!! Glad you were able to walk away from it, though. Just take it easy for a few days, don't overexert yourself.

A reminder to all of us to take it easy. Don't rush that left turn, the extra 10 seconds of waiting won't kill you, but causing an accident might. This is exactly the maneuver that kills motorcyclists. One of my bigger fears right here.

Sorry for sounding preachy, glad everyone is alright.

I'm not offended by OZ. I know his posting style and understand he's trying to cheer things up.

Some people are telling me that I can't part my truck or it'll decrease the amount I get from the insurance. Others are saying I can. We'll see.

As you can tell, I'm inexperienced with all this. It's my first major accident.

When my Outback was totaled, they didn't even want to talk about anything aftermarket (though there were only a few things)--value was strictly based on OEM or stuff that could have been OEM that I added later.

Sorry to see it go! You had my truck's clone!

Your settlement will be based on the value of a stock truck. If you have receipts for the stuff you added, it will help you get a better settlement.

Sad to see this, glad you are okay.
I was reading about a Tacoma that ran a stop sign and was t-boned by a van on a different web site, I came here to see if anything was posted about it.
All involved had serious injuries, not the same accident, different state.
