I would think if the driver was uninsured the tab would be on uhaul if they rented to an uninsured or the driver who actually rented it and allowed the uninsured to drive it.

Rigid Industries has a grill with light bar. Pretty pricey though.

Wow, cringeworthy. Uhaul drivers are the worst cause most are inexperienced truck drivers

That sucks. Hope the fix is not on your dime.

Things like that are also why I usually don't back into a parking space like that. Theory being the back end gets fucked up and is theoretically cheaper/easier to fix.

Turns out that uhaul rented it to someone uninsured. To make things worst, someone else was driving it and they didn't even have a driver's license. They're getting a major ticket but my damages aren't covered. Luckily, the uhaul broke down in the same lot so they were there when I went for the footage.

Well.... not exactly. UHaul may claim the damages are not covered but thats not quite true. Small claims court exists for situations just like this. Sue UHaul for the damages. Let a jury or a judge decide if they are responsible for renting a big ass truck to an uninsured guy in a state that requires insurance. I bet you will win.

^^^ This. Don't let them off just because they're ALL a bunch of shitbags. Uhaul and/or the company who rented them the uhaul will be liable and they will probably lose their ability to rent uhauls if they really did let a massive truck get rented out with no insurance coverage on either end.
