So I bought my third gen in January with one major motivation. I’m a motorcycle trackday junkie and was sick of towing my bike in a trailer. So over the last few months I have been making all the mods I could think of to prepare for the racing season here in California. This last weekend I finally got to put all my hard work and planning to the test. Overall it went well thought I would share with the class!

I have zero knowledge about any of this. What are the things you hooked up to your tires? Warmers?

Shit yeah man, nice set up. I like that thing you've got that holds the bike in the bed with no other tie downs. That's bad ass

Hey now, I've seen street legal bikes with a big ole tank tucked up above the rear wheel. You never know when you're gunna need that extra boost! lol

Nice. Might want to reinforce that tailgate.

I think most of the weight would be one the rack he's got mounted to his bed, no?
Or is that purely a locking/stabilizing mechanism?

Looks like it's more of a stabilizing mount, but still would take some of the weight. At least keeps the bike from bouncing on the tailgate. That's a pretty slick mount.

Either way, the thing probably weighs under 400lbs wet. Track-only bike, so probably went through some good weight reduction. The rear wheel is also closer in and not leveraged out at the end of the tailgate. It will be 100% fine.

It keeps the bike from moving side to side. The handle keeps it from flipping backward. Basically the advantage is you can load it yourself (trailer) and the suspension isn’t tied down it is only supporting the weight of the bike.
