When I was picking up my 22 off road DCLB last week there were 3 new 2wd tacomas on the dealers lot, none marked up above MSRP. 2wd Tacomas aren’t real popular here in Oregon. I also puchased my TRD off road for MSRP. Used prices are crazy high, but that is insane!

saw a $5k markup on an SR out front about 60 miles south. Glad i saw it as it saved me time from going inside and talking about a future allocation. Hope that these folks remember these price gouging occuring and never give them business.

Picked up my truck Friday and it’s the first time I drove off the lot and my truck value went up. Weird times that really are temporary.

Same (also an Oregonian). Beaverton Toyota was the only one selling at MSRP. Portland dealerships were all 5k+.

I was talking to a dealer (owner) playing golf and I asked how did he have so many Tacoma’s. He had stocked his rental fleet with Tacoma’s. He has to sell them as certified with a few hundred miles on them but the margins are so high it worked out for the dealership

If people would quit paying those prices the prices would drop.

As long as 'someone' pays, sellers will keep fishing.

But hey...they threw on some Predator Side Steps. That should make it worth $38k.

That's more than the MSRP on my 2016 DCLB OR.

    Good lord.

Last month I saw a lime 4runner Pro, sticker was $55k with a 15K market adjustment.

$70k for a 4runner made my damn knees buckle.

I picked up my 22 OR and I think I made money compared to the stickers on the used 19,20,21 on the lot.

This is the poverty trim!! I paid $25,900 for a 4x4 in the same trim in 2019, new from the dealer.

    Oh look, another mod....

That is serious price gouging. Here's the same (almost?) truck, but in the Dallas, Texas area....for $11k+ less.

I feel bad for a buddy of mine on the ambulance. He had a clean Gen 1 and had a foreign national (who was here legally) try and merge through him off a freeway. Totaled his truck and is now having to pay a lot for an early Gen 3.

I actually paid less than this for a new 2021 TRD Sport with the advanced tech and premium audio packages last May. Value still hasn't come back down to what I paid for it. Like someone else said, never had a vehicle that actually appreciated in value before.

In my mind Toyota does not sell trucks anymore. Not at these prices anyway.

A couple of auto parts stores and other businesses have AC Tacomas that look pretty basic when I see them. For that sort of thing a SR 2WD is probably a good buy, but not at above MSRP.
