sALe eNdS sUnDaY Sheesh that was mine OTD, fully-loaded TRD V6 6MT 4x4, after taxes, license, everything. Oh not to mention it was new.

Not the worst I've seen, and the new version of my same truck is like $10k more just four years later where I live.

My cousin just bought her first car, a 2013 Honda Fit. Those silly little cars are selling for their original MSRP, nine YEARS later after age, miles, and warranty long expired.

Carfax just sent me one of those "We want to buy your truck" emails. They threw out $33,860, if that email is even worth a crap. Interesting times. I feel for anyone looking to get into a new vehicle right now. Like the others said, shop around. Some dealerships aren't gouging and if anything, they should get your business.

I slow rolled my local dealers lot yesterday while they were still closed. They had probably 8 or so new Tacomas and several used ones. No prices. Sticker on Off Road was 38k, but had a sticker next to it that said this vehicle is subject to a market adjustment see salesperson for details lol.

They even had a used ORDC sitting on 295s in the lineup for sale. Kind of surprised they took that on trade to resell. It's a brave new world.

ya one of the dealers I was working with in Texas called me today to tell me they got their new allocation. Told them I had secured a truck that had all the options I wanted except for one so i would listen to what they had. They only got 2wd trucks, not one 4wd truck and they're a pretty big dealer here. But they also have to go through GST and they might not be sending many here.

Might be getting too old for this.
I'm aware of the, "It's their money, don't worry about it," sentiment that is so popular (even though their purchases are driving up the market value for those not willing to bend over), but it's gonna be hilarious when these folks that pay outrageous prices try to trade/sell after the market stabilizes and they are all deep underwater.

$5k over msrp, with access to all meso products, out of stock or not, would be worth it.

The market isn’t going to be stable for a while. If you pay a lot now, in the future it will only be more. Yay.

It's gonna take 5/6 years for most to pay off these contracts regardless, so there is plenty of time.

I know that many people here are on their 2/3rd, 3rd Gen Tacoma as it is and that's certainly not helping.

Yup. Stupid. At this rate. I wouldn't buy another new truck. They just ain't worth 50k for any brand. Ill just find and older one and put a new paint job on it. My money will go to more important things.

Looking at Camry's in cali and 3 dealers wanted MSRP, 5k market adjustment and they added 1700 for alarm/gps and 450 for mats and cargo trunk net.

I laugh and walked out. I have a preorder at longo toyota for MSRP and no mark up.

Those Camrys look fun and pretty quick with the 2.5. Also like that it’s not a cvt. I need to go test drive one- last Camry I drove was a 97’ v6.

I mean Florida dealers are crazy. I got my 21 TRD off-road premium for sticker no deals last year. Think it was $46k. Pricey but unfortunately everyone in Colorado buys these and 4 runners.

I have a lightly modified 2nd gen with 140,000 miles. If somebody left a note on my windshield offering to pay 50 grand for it and I accepted the offer, would that be "price gouging" or "inflation"?

Neither. That's in the "wet dream" category
