Don't forget that if you got a base an built it, you wouldn't need ATRAC with front and rear locker

That's a good point. Less electronics to malfunction.

Could you expand on this idea some more for me? If I got an S5, does that I mean I could add in air lockers which would act the same as what the OR comes with?

That's one sweet toy there man.

I've just heard some people say that offroading in a manual is more difficult. But, I bet you have so much more fun with your stick in that truck than you would with an AT. Which is what I want to experience. That experience of shifting when I want and giving it that bad-a$$ feeling.

The OR has a rear locker, and ATRAC acts as a front locker. With ARB air lockers it will do exactly the same thing, but no electronics to worry about, and the rear end is stronger. Only air lines and compressors. The bad thing there is, then toyota can claim no liability for axle warranty cause of the lockers(but let's face it, toyotas don't have problems haha). It's a toss up, but I bet it's cheaper in the long run to get a base and build it, then get an OR.

Ah got it. Well you all have given me a ton to think about. Looks like the SR5 is nice to start with (plus cheaper). I just wanted to make sure that I wasn't limiting myself.

And the rear diff in the sport with an ARB is stronger than the Offroad with the elocker.

I'm looking for a short bed.

I've gone through so many phases in this search:

    "Do I want a v4 or v6?"

    "Do I want a 4x2 or 4x4?

"Do I want to go sporty or off road?"

"Do I want a manual or an AT"

"I want speedblue. Oh... that's been discontinued. Okay... :("
