Car Fax price for that is 29K? I’m a little suspicious of that, KBB private party sale (in good condition and same ZIP) attached. BD1D8897-4B08-4997-8A40-113C76B35A37.png

I wonder if it has a new motor or trans, or something along those lines.

That is a massive assumption, and that would be my main concern that many miles in a short time. Probably a bit of deferred maintenance gifted to the buyer.

425,076 miles that's a lot of gear hunting and rear diff howl to put up with. 2021 with that many miles It probably belonged to enterprise, don't forget 21 was primetime for market adjustments I'm doubtful many people were paying extra for trucks then.

I was thinking the same, they are including a 4/48 warranty with the purchase so it’s possible it may have a reman/newer engine or trans.
I’d love to see the details of that “warranty”. I don’t know of any warranty company on the planet that would put coverage on any vehicle with that mileage.

The only thing reassuring to me is that it’s a one owner vehicle. If it was a steaming pile of shit, chances are it would have had multiple owners.
My bid on the truck is $12,000 and a 30 day warranty.

A few, mainly added skids. I like leaving the suspension alone. I drive forest service dirt roafs in the desert west extremely extremely too fast. Toyota nailed this suspension going 65 across desert terrain. Changing it is dumb unless you have a specific need like crawling or mud.
Bingo. You are ready sir. It is time for you to go find your first rebuild! Welcome to the vintage club if you soo desire.

the part that frustrates me the most is the lack of pictures of the rest of the truck.

i think the price is reasonable for the mileage, as long as the service history is correct. it probably runs better than some of the creampuffs around here that haven't broken 100,000 miles!

I just wonder what cartel the owner was making deliveries for.

New, clean vehicle maintained well beats the hell out of a beater civic or ragged out 90's buick which could give up the ghost at any minute. Better cargo capacity too.

cartel's generally run more boring, older vehicles like camry's or similar. they attract less attention...

most of the high mileage vehicles like this have to do with people like posted above that help with nation-wide charity work like helping animals, or i know of a number of pipeline workers, or oil derrick workers that commute 4+ states for the work-- the family stays home, and they drive from work to home for 3-4 days every few weeks as time and scheduling allows. for a while, they were being called 'super commuters'.

Age is as important as miles. I'd rather buy a 3 year old truck with 400,000 miles than a 13 year old truck with 200,000 miles

Agree, seen it and lived it. Current case is my Tacoma at 199'xxxkms without any major issues. Still has factory brakes on it even, vs my 92 camry at just a bit over 300'000kms. Camry runs well but it's starting to feel like something that's getting ready to nickle and dime a guy... I wasn't the original owner though of the Camry.

I would even go as far as to say age is a bigger factory than mileage.

You guys need to look at the carfax report. What the OP was getting at is that most of the service was done by one Auto tire and repair shop at exact 10k mile intervals. 190k, 200k, 210k ect.

Yeah, I'd be skeptical of every maintenance report after the 48,xxx mark. What'd they do, circle the block to hit the exact mileage? No. That's fishy.

Also, a couple 20k mile intervals on oil and filter change.

I'd walk on this. They're smoking something strong if they think this is worth $25k

if you made it to 400,000 miles, i imagine you'd have a few accidents on your history as well

    For those who are lazy:

425,076 miles, one owner, asking $24,995. Only the one picture of the exterior.

Oil changes supposedly every 10k, a couple at 20k.
    Spark plugs @ 110k & 260k.
    Wheel bearings @ 410k.
And apparently only one set of brake pads @ 425k!
Oh and a couple of times rear ended.
As always, take CarFax’s as you will.
