    *Make the water colder, but yes. Salt initiates melting at a lower temperature. Melting is an endothermic reaction, meaning it's soaking up heat. So the action of melting is removing heat from the ice cream.

    I did this exactly like he showed and it turned out great. A few minor changes though: instead of using the bed cooler we used a regular cooler, instead of salting the ice we didn't salt the ice, instead of ice cream ingredients we used bottled waters and canned beers and threw in a couple of sub sandwiches, instead of the desert we drove to the marina and took it out on our boat. Other than that it was the exact same! I highly recommend it.

    I just put a tub of ice cream in a cooler. Went off roading, did a bunch of back flips and shot an rpg at my truck. I took the cooler out before blowing up the truck so I could have ice cream after.

    first of all you know that compartment is full of dust and sand. i bet that icecream is really crunchy.
