An example of one of the bazillions of super cool places to hang out, drink delish beer, eat yummy nachos (or insert bar food of your choice), have a choice of indoor or outdoor seating by a creek in a beautiful place, AND have your dog at your side the whole time.

There are lots of good jobs out here. It might not be exactly what you are doing in the city, or the pay might not be as good, but life is so much better here. I took a $40K a year pay cut to come back home to Oregon from Southern California. I would do it again. I do appreciate the free side of the state very much!

 

Yeah, we'll probably keep looking and dreaming about it, but just can't do a massive pay cut at the moment. Playing catch up from some massive unexpected Taco repairs. But we will definitely keep looking and trying to make it happen, especially later on down the line, when $ is not as tight.

It really is a paradise over there. Hope we aren't increasing the tourism to the area too badly by blabbing on here, as that is one of the best things about it. Such beauty, so many fun things to see and do, yet so few people. Total solitude is not hard to find over there if you're craving it on a hike or something. I ♥ Eastern Oregon, almost as much as I ♥ my Taco : )

 

Eh, most city people are scared to go where we go. Most people on this board with kitted out expo tacos mostly take pictures in their driveway and don't actually explore anything. I don't think any amount of advertizing will ruin the solitude.
