Ok, so i just did my front brakes tonight and after i finished i jump into the truck to test them out when this happened.

I didnt even put the key in and i put my foot on the brake and my dash lights, front parking lights, clock, CD, and my chime goes off. But only when i tap the brake. Very strange... never happened before.
I didnt touch any wires while doing the brakes.

    Any ideas?

You've probably got some sort of short involving the taillight circuit.

One possible cause could be a wiring fault or bulb failure in the rear lamp(s).

A short in the engine bay fuse block (stop, tail, and / or panel fuses) and / or those fuses' circuits' wiring would also explain it.

The reason you've heard it from multiple sources is because it makes perfect sense (as a diagnosis). How it got that way is a different issue.

Check the engine bay - and particularly the front corner lamps - to see if you somehow messed up a ground wire or shorted the corner lamp wiring while you were working on the front brakes.

Then again - it might simply be a coincidence.

it could just be coinsidence, it has to be a wire. one time every time i hit the brake my blinkers came on?? it was so weird.... but it was just wire touching metal.
